OUR ERASMUS+ PROJECTS

Learning, Experiencing and Growing with Europe

Private Söke TAK Anatolian High School sees Erasmus+ projects as an important educational opportunity that develops students’ academic skills alongside their vocational competence, foreign language skills, social and communication skills, intercultural awareness and outlook on the world.

Through Erasmus+, our students and teachers connect with educational institutions abroad, explore different learning and working environments, observe good practice and bring their experiences back into their own education.

Our projects cover vocational education, sustainability, environmental awareness, art, intercultural learning and preparation for the future.

Every project shares the same goal:

To nurture students who can use what they know in real life, communicate across cultures, take responsibility and prepare for tomorrow’s world.

01 | 🩺 ERASMUS+ VET

Project Name: Palliative Care in Hospices

Project Type: K122-VET

Call Year: 2020

Vocational Education Meets European ExperienceOur Erasmus+ VET project offered students an important opportunity to experience vocational education in an international workplace.

The project focused on palliative care and hospice services.

Palliative care is a holistic approach that aims to improve the quality of life of people living with serious or life-threatening conditions, support their physical, psychological and social needs and provide support for their families.

The field calls for technical knowledge and skills alongside empathy, communication, patience, responsibility, an ethical approach and teamwork, making the project valuable for both vocational and personal development.

🎯 Project AimThe project aimed to develop students’ theoretical knowledge of palliative care through observation of real workplaces and experience of vocational practice.

This international experience gave students opportunities to see how health services operate in other countries and compare them with their own training.

🏥 What Did Students Gain? This experience helped students to:

  • ・Develop vocational knowledge and skills,
  • ・Explore real working environments,
  • ・Understand health professionals’ roles and responsibilities,
  • ・Recognise the importance of communication with patients and families,
  • ・Develop empathy and professional communication,
  • ・Adapt to teamwork,
  • ・Develop work discipline and responsibility,
  • ・Discover vocational practice in other countries,
  • ・Use foreign languages at work and in everyday communication,
  • ・Build self-confidence

.

🌍 What Erasmus+ VET Means to UsThrough the project, students discovered that “learning a profession extends beyond the classroom”.

Experiencing the international dimension of vocational education introduced them to different working cultures and a broader perspective on their futures.

We bring together vocational knowledge, real experience and a European outlook.

Erasmus+ Programme

Erasmus+ 2024

Project Name: Dance of Recycling with Art

Project Type: K210-SCH

Call Year: 2023

Transforming through Art, Creating for the Environment

Dance of Recycling with Art is an Erasmus+ school education project combining environmental awareness and artistic creativity. It goes beyond theoretical learning about the environment and recycling, encouraging students to explore environmental problems from fresh perspectives through art and creativity.

Growing consumption and waste pose challenges to natural resources and ecological balance. It is therefore important for students to recognise from an early age that waste can be reused, consumption habits can be questioned and individual creativity can help address environmental problems.

🎯 Project AimOur project aims to:

  • ・Raise awareness of the environment and recycling,
  • ・Develop artistic skills,
  • ・Bring students from different cultures together through shared work,
  • ・Strengthen intercultural communication,
  • ・Encourage foreign language use,
  • ・Build sustainable partnerships between schools,
  • ・Encourage innovative and creative educational practices

.

🎨 Why Art MattersArt allows students to reflect on environmental issues, connect with them emotionally and express their ideas creatively.

Using recycled materials in artistic work helps students reconsider the idea of “waste” and builds a strong connection between environmental and arts education.

🌱 What Did Students Gain? The project supported development in:

♻️ Environmental awareness
🎨 Artistic creativity
🌍 Intercultural awareness
🗣️ Communication skills
🇬🇧 Foreign language use
🤝 Cooperation and teamwork
💡 Creative thinking
🌱 Sustainable living awareness.

🇪🇺 The European DimensionStudents from different countries work towards a shared goal and experience Europe’s cultural diversity directly. They discover that differences are a resource for creating together.

Inspired by different cultures, we create through art and think together about a sustainable future.

03 | 🌱 ERASMUS+ KA122

Project Name: Eco-Anxiety

Project Type: K122-SCH

Call Year: 2026

Teacher and Student Mobility

Understanding the Environment, Managing Anxiety, Nurturing HopeClimate change, natural disasters, forest fires, pollution and ecological disruption are major challenges today. Alongside their effects on nature and the economy, they influence people’s psychological and social lives.

Young people in particular may experience anxiety, fear, helplessness or concern for the future when thinking intensely about environmental threats. This makes eco-anxiety an important topic in education.

🧠 What Is Eco-Anxiety?Eco-anxiety describes emotional responses to environmental problems and climate change, such as anxiety, fear, sadness, helplessness or concern about the future.

Our project helps students recognise, understand and manage these feelings in healthy ways.

🎯 Project AimOur Eco-Anxiety project aims to help students understand environmental problems while recognising their emotional effects. Students are supported to:

  • ・Understand the concept of eco-anxiety,
  • ・Recognise the psychological effects of environmental problems,
  • ・Evaluate how media and social media influence environmental perceptions,
  • ・Recognise misinformation and excessive exposure to negative content,
  • ・Develop healthy ways of coping with anxiety,
  • ・Think about solutions rather than feeling helpless,
  • ・Take responsibility for sustainable living

.

📱 Media, Social Media and Eco-AnxietyStudents encounter a large amount of environmental information through social media and digital platforms. Constant exposure to disaster, crisis and negative content can increase anxiety about environmental issues. Our project therefore gives an important role to media literacy and critical thinking.

We aim to help students find reliable information, question what they see and maintain a healthy relationship with the digital world.

🌍 From Anxiety to ActionOne of the project’s key messages is that, when faced with the scale of environmental challenges, students can become part of the solution individually and collectively rather than feel helpless.

We encourage the approach:

Notice → Understand → Share → Develop Solutions → Act

🎓 What Does the Project Offer Students? The project supports development across several areas:

🧠 Emotional awareness
🌱 Environmental awareness
📱 Media literacy
💚 Psychological resilience
🤝 Social support and communication
