Our English Education System

Our English Education System

At TAK Schools, our vision is to be an internationally recognised, widely preferred educational institution with diverse learning environments and contemporary approaches that nurture happy, successful and productive individuals who contribute to society’s future. Our aim in English education is to help students acquire the language and gain the competence to express themselves globally and participate in academic life through today’s lingua franca.

We believe that academic excellence can be achieved in an environment where each student’s individual differences are recognised and valued, curiosity is encouraged and learners take responsibility for their own progress. We teach English through experience, prioritise communication and develop the four core skills—reading, writing, listening and speaking—so that every student can express ideas orally and in writing.

Language is fundamentally a means of communication. Our approach therefore emphasises speaking and listening comprehension. Starting in early childhood, all classroom and extracurricular language activities at TAK Schools are designed to encourage students to produce spoken language.

🌐 International Standards

  • Our programme is aligned with CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and the Global Scale of English.
  • The targets students are expected to reach at each grade level are based on international descriptors.
  • For example:
    • In preschool, children can understand simple instructions at Pre-A1 level.
    • By the end of primary school, students can introduce themselves and hold simple everyday conversations at A2 level.
    • By the end of middle school, students can express themselves on everyday and academic topics, understand different texts and communicate effectively at B1 level.
    • By the end of high school, students reach B2 level, enabling them to participate in academic discussions.

Our English Learning Design and Learning Environments

Alongside classroom teaching, TAK Schools offers a wide range of extracurricular activities that help students use English and demonstrate their skills. These include language portfolio presentations at transitions between school levels, English debates, Model United Nations councils, English drama and theatre, international virtual classroom exchanges, and Council of Europe activities for the European Day of Languages.

Our hybrid and flipped learning models use digital systems outside school hours to personalise English learning and monitor progress. Students’ work on these platforms can be tracked, supporting development through effective feedback.

EAQUALS ACCREDITATION & OUR LANGUAGE EXCELLENCE GOALS WITHIN THE QUALITY ASSURANCE FRAMEWORK

EAQUALS (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services) is an international organisation that evaluates language education. It reviews quality standards and provides accreditation across education, curriculum, school management, learning resources and assessment, as well as management and organisation, assessment and certification, the learning environment, student services, staff profiles and development, and employment conditions.
TAK Schools’ language programmes are developed through guidance and standardisation work informed by Eaquals and are subject to evaluation.
